Bite Beauty Has Entered The Foundation Chat!

Wearing my Bite Beauty custom lip shade “Vampy Goddess”

So it was just last month when I decided to visit the Bite Beauty Lab to create my own formulated lipstick. I had no idea they would enter the new year with a foundation, primer, and newly reformulated lipsticks. So with much excitement, I got my hands on the foundation and the powder to test it out and share my thoughts. There is the foundation, two primers, and pressed powder that complete the changemaker complexion system. I didn’t purchase the primers, but there are two one for normal to dry skin types and one for normal to oily skin types.

The foundation is Bite Beauty’s first introduction into the complexion category. The Changemaker Supercharged Micellar Foundation is a clean, high-performance foundation. It has gentle micellar technology that mimics actual skin texture and gives a natural finish to the skin. It contains antioxidants Maqui Berry that helps nourish the complexion and sunflower seed oil to hydrate. It’s clean and vegan and meant to give medium skin-like coverage.

Foundation in D150 and powder in Deep 2

The Changemaker foundation comes in 32 shades in the light, medium, tan, and deep categories. I picked up the shade D150, which is a deep shade with warm and bronze undertones. For a foundation that comes in 32 shades, all undertones were perfect, making it easier to find the correct tone.

The Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder is a setting powder that sets the foundation as well as touches up on the go. It is clean, talc-free powder that is made with volcanic minerals to blur and mattify the skin. Unlike the foundation, the powder comes in 8 shades in the category of light, medium, tan and deep. I picked up the shade deep 2 to go along with the foundation that I got in shade D150.

I wore the foundation for a few days and honestly was impressed with how it wore and looked on the skin. The shade of the foundation was a great match and felt very skin-like. It felt like a tinted moisturizer that gave decent coverage without the SPF. The formula itself is buildable and does provide coverage. The more you add, the more coverage you will get. Once I set the foundation with the Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder, the skin was instantly matte and smooth.

After my testing of the foundation, I was honestly impressed with the wear of it. I wore for a full day of errands, and it managed to stay fresh looking with having to blot a ton. It did get oily about midday, but with the powder, I was able to blot and get things back in control lol. This foundation is more of a winter foundation for oily skin girls. I loved that the powder was talc-free, but I wished it came in more shades that went with the foundation. But if you’re looking for a pressed powder that is talc-free that you can take on the go, give this a try!

All in all, I’m impressed with the launch of Bite’s first foundation. I think they did an excellent job of making a foundation in 32 shades that had a cohesive shade range. The formula is pretty good for all skin types and has enjoyable skincare benefits.

The foundation retails for $39.50 and powder for $36. It can be purchased on Bite Beauty and Sephora.
