Welcome to Black History Month! The best month of the year lol. I talk about black-owned beauty brands all the time on my blog, but I figured I would highlight some of my favorites you may have missed.
Range Beauty

Range Beauty has come a long way since I first blogged about them in 2018. They have an incredible range of products from foundations that have skincare benefits and shade matches for every woman of color. The brand was created with the mission for women of color to find foundation without any toxic ingredients. Check them out here! I recommend there body glow oil, foundation, and primer.
Sabreen Cosmetics

There is no secret that I love Sabreen Cosmetics! Founded by three amazing women to honor their aunt’s legacy, Sabreen is a lip brand with many fun colors that are made with non-toxic ingredients and are vegan and cruelty-free. The brand recently launched its Queen Gloss Collection, which I reviewed here. Here are some of my favorite lip colors from the brand check them out!
Pholk Beauty

Pholk Beauty is another brand that I blogged about last year. Started by the founder Niambi pictured above. This skincare line tackles the many skincare concerns of women of color, such as discoloration, oily/combination skin, while using natural ingredients such as cold-pressed oils and herbs. I had the pleasure of going to Pholk Beauty Lab, where the products are created, and it was such an excellent experience. I recommend visiting the beauty lab if you’re in the NYC/NJ region. Also, check out my favorite product, the Hemp Hibiscus Night Oil.
Ebone Beauty

If you are looking for mink lashes that are excellent quality that won’t break the bank, then you need to check out Ebone Beauty. Started by Ebone, these lashes enhance your natural beauty. My favorite style is “Coint” and “Queen.” Check out my lash tutorial, where I teach you how to put on lashes featuring the style “Coint.” Here you can shop Ebone Beauty
.
Bolden Skincare

Another brand I blogged about last year, Bolden Skincare is a skincare line with the mission is to create products for women of color that tackle their concerns. I had the pleasure of meeting the founders of the brand and trying out a few of their products. The skin clarifying cleanser is one of my favorites from the line. It helps to decongest and protect from free radicals without leaving the skin dry and tight. Every time I use this cleanser, my skin is baby soft and hydrated. The glow mask is excellent for all skin types when a boost of hydration is needed. This brand can also be found at Target!
Danessa Myricks Beauty

If your not aware of who Danessa Myricks is, I suggest you stop reading here and go check her out. Danessa’s work is incredible, and so are the products from her beauty line. I don’t think I ever tried a product from her line that I didn’t like. This year Danessa Myricks Beauty is being sold at Morphe stores. If you’re close to a Morphe store or want to shop her products online, I suggest you check out the Evolution setting powder, Enlight Illuminators, and the Vision Cover Cream.
Good Beaute

If tackling dark spots and getting vibrant glowy skin is one of your goals, then you should check out Good Beaute. The founder Kimberly Hairston Hicks created a vitamin c collection that was tested and proven to work on melanin. The vitamin c is great for dry skin types as it is more of an oil base then a serum base. Check out the rest of Good Beaute’s products here!
Elo Lipcare

If you’re looking for a lip balm that has natural ingredients that is also wax-free and fragrance-free, then you should check out Elo Lip Care. Based out of Brooklyn, NY Elo Lipcare has more than just lip balms. They have aromatherapy scents that are made without alcohol and a diffuser that can make your home smell like your favorite hotel. Check out their website here. The Nude lip balm is one of my favorite lip balms!
Aj Crimson Beauty

Aj Crimson is another celebrity makeup artist that makes fantastic products. Known for his artist kits that feature cream foundations for the working makeup artist. I happen to love all his products. If you attend any makeup trade shows, AJ Crimson is always there, getting you to buy everything lol. I recommend the lip paints and the setting powder. Shop them below.
The LipBar

The Lipbar is one of the most inspirational black-owned beauty brands. Melissa, the founder, started making lipsticks in her kitchen and fast forward to the brand being featured on Shark Tank and getting rejected. The brand has launched many products since then and is sold in Target. They even launched their first complexion product and introduced the Fast Face System. The foundation happens to be one of my favorites, and the lippies are super comfortable and long-wearing.
Mented Cosmetics

Mented Cosmetics is another one of my favorite beauty brands. The founders started the line with the mission to create the perfect nude lipsticks for women of color. The brand has since expanded into complexion, eyeshadow, blush, and even launched its first setting powder this year. I recommend trying out there foundation sticks and blush! Check out my past blog post, where I reviewed the setting powder and foundation stick.
There are so many other black-owned beauty brands that I’ve tried and talked about on the blog. Check them out here and get your life!
