Brands I learned about at the Indie Beauty Expo!

If you don’t follow me on Instagram first thing is you should lol. I recently had the most fantastic experience attending the Indie Beauty Expo in New York City. The Indie Beauty Expo provides a platform to recognize and celebrate independent beauty brands. Not only does this expo celebrate independent beauty brands, but it supports the growth of the entrepreneurs behind each brand. I attended the two-day event, and I met some amazing entrepreneurs and heard the stories behind their brand and got to try some cool products. Here are just a few that I think should be on your radar.

Reimage Beauty

The founder Terra and I
Mineral smart shadow “Sunkissed Glow”

Reimage beauty is a black-owned social conscious beauty brand. Their products enhance women’s natural beauty. All products are formulated without parabens, talc, or gluten. Reimage Beauty has everything from copper shadows, lipsticks, lip paints, and even brow pomade. I picked up a mineral smart shadow in the shade “sunkissed glow,” which I plan to use as highlight and shadow. Every purchase made on Reimage Beauty a portion goes toward programs for women’s health and self-esteem issues. Check out their website.

Achi Lashes

Founder Amber Anderson

Achi Lashes is a woman-owned lash line that is handmade and cruelty-free. Amber Anderson, the founder, wanted to give women the chance to wear mink lashes and not kill their pockets. All of the lash styles run from $8 to $16 and are mink! Check out her website.
