It has been a rough couple of weeks. My heart goes out to anyone that has been affected by COVID-19. Social distancing and quarantining have been very real. It has been a wake-up call for things that we took for granted on the outside. Due to this, the drugstore has been my best friend. Shopping online at Ulta and Target, I found some great items that can be added to your beauty routine.
Aveeno Foot Mask
Since the nail salon has closed, it has been a constant struggle. These foot masks have been so helpful. They instantly make your feet soft with oat and shea butter, and they have no drip, so they are comfortable to sleep with and wear.
Milani Screen Queen Foundation
I have been raving about this foundation for months. It has such great coverage and a natural finish. It comes in 45 shades online, and for reference, I am shade 480 Spiced Toffee.
Thayers Astringent
This astringent has been a long time favorite of many. I recently ran out my favorite toner and needed something inexpensive to try. This toner is perfect for resetting the face and doesn’t have any harmful chemicals in it. If you are prone to breakouts, then I would recommend the lemon version of this toner as it has 2% salicylic acid.
Versed Cleanser
Wash It Out is a clean cleanser sold at Target. The whole line is paraben, sulfate, fragrance, and dye-free. This cleanser is an excellent option for those that want a face wash that is non-drying and doesn’t exfoliate. The smoothing eye cream from Versed is also an excellent option for an eye cream.
Soap and Glory Body Butter
Soap and glory have excellent body products. Recently, I tried A Cream Come True in the Magnifi-Coco body butter, and I love it. It has the perfect scent and leaves a soft glow to the body.
Elf Putty Primer
Elf has been killing the game lately. They have so many different product launches that are all great. The latest product that I have tried was the putty primer, which is a total dupe for the Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer. If you have been looking for an inexpensive primer that smooths out pores, then this is the one to try.
Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer
Another Elf mention that is another excellent buy is the Hydrating Camo Concealer. This concealer comes in 25 shades and is medium to full coverage. I was so impressed with this concealer and its perfect blending abilities.
Carmex Natural Lip Balm
I know I am not the only one who has been suffering from severely dried lips lol. Usually, I don’t like drugstore lip balms because they seem to never do the trick for me. The Carmex Natural Lip Balm has been a lifesaver. It contains colloidal oatmeal and shea butter, which offers long-lasting hydration.
Wet n Wild Brettman Rock Palette
If you are looking to get a little creative with your makeup during this quarantine, I recommend trying out the Brettman Rock Eyeshadow Palette. The shades in this palette are super pigmented and blend out nicely.
These are all of my drugstore faves at the moment. Let me know in the comments which you are going to try!
If you haven’t checked out my latest IGTV where I talk about these items, please do!
