My girl Rih- Rih just released her new bronzers and I literally pretty much walked out of the airport from my vacation to Sephora so I can buy. Bronzers for women of color are not made too often, so when I heard the word “Rihanna” and “bronzers” I couldn’t let the moment pass me by.
The “Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer” is a long-wear, transfer- resistant bronzing powder that comes in 8 matte shades. The two shades on the deeper end of the spectrum are “Coco Naughty” which is made for deep skin with neutral undertones and “Mocha Mami” which is made for deep skin with warm red undertones. I recently came back from vacation with a tan, so I picked up the shade “Mocha Mami.” I also picked up the new Freestyle Highlighter in the shade “Penny 4 U Thots”.

The bronzer goes on the skin super smooth and has a creamy like texture. I thought the shade looked very good on my skin tone and it wore very well throughout the day. If your skin tone is more on the neutral/golden side, this bronzer in “Mocha Mami” will be a bit too red. A bronzer should add warmth to the skin, but if its too warm it can make you look a little crazy. I wish there were a shade in between “Coco Naughty” and “Mocha Mami” that was still deep but more on the neutral side.
I think the Sun Stalk’r Bronzer is worth checking out. If you fall within the medium/deep skin range, there should be a shade for you. My deeper skin beauties might have a little trouble finding the correct bronzer as there are only two deeper shades one being really deep on the red side and a lighter shade that might not be dark enough. If you’re still looking for a bronzer, I would recommend Bobbi Brown as they have some deep shades. The bronzer retails for $30 and the Killawatt highlighter retails for $36 at Sephora.
